The Vijay Awards is one of the prestigious awards in
Kollywood which is provided by the Tamil TV Channel Star Vijay. It will be given
to the Kollywood Actors every year for their exceptional performance in a movie
release on that year.
Awards will be given for different roles under two major categories Jury Awards and People Favourite.
Jury Awards
Every year many nominations will be made under different category,
from that top five will be selected and the juries panel will be selecting the
best among the five and Vijay Award will be provided to that particular person in
a grand stage front of the Indian Cinema Celebrities and fans.
People Favorite
Like Jury Awards five people will be nominated under
different categories and the final decision of selecting the one from those
five will be given to the fans. Through SMS or Online fans will vote to their favorite
stars and person with more number of vote will be declared as a People Favorite
actor of the year and Vijay Award will be provided to them in a grand stage.
History
First Annual Vijay Awards has been launched in the year of
2006 by Vijay TV. Because of its different category awards and new concept of
People Voting system has given grand success to the Vijay Awards. As a new
innovation, Vijay Awards has included awards categories for works off the
screen as well. Best Crew Award, Life Time Achievement Awards are some of the
new ideas of Vijay Awards which has provided a grand success to it.
9th Annual Vijay Awards
Now Vijay Awards has reached its ninth year. Vijay TV has
announced Nominations under different categories for the year of 2014. People voting
system is also open now.
