Latest news in Mumbai is a Photojournalist of 23 year old was gang raped by 5 criminals at 8pm last Thursday.
The Mumbai police released sketches of the 5 culprits today morning. The police questioned more than 20 suspects to collect the details to search the culprits throughout the city. The Mumbai police have appointed special squads from crime branch to catch up the criminals.
Overview of the gang rape incident
A photojournalistwho was working in an English magazine was gang raped by a group of five members. The culprits tied up the male colleague of the girl and raped the girl in front of him. The incident was happened near Shakthi Mills in Mahalaxmi area of Mumbai. This incident is similar to the Delhi incident which was held on December where one of the culprits tied up the sufferer’s friend and raped the girl in bus.
In this Mumbai case, the police suspects 20 criminals who were involved in such cases and they gathered identity of the gang from the male colleague of the Photojournalist and released the sketches. The girl said that the five culprits were in the Shakthi Mills and they started making comments and harassed her.
When his friend interfered between them but two members from the gang battered him and the other three took her inside the mill and raped her. She was then admitted in the Jaslok hospital and the report says that she suffered by internal injuries and severe bleeding but was conscious. Two of the culprits name was found by the victim’s friend those are Sajid and Rupesh. The commissioner of Mumbai Mr. Satyapal Singh has been appointed to investigate this case and he said that the criminals will be arresting soon.
