Do you want to know that how to prevent from Jaundice? Jaundice is also known as icterus it is derived from the Greek word. Jaundice is mostly occurred in liver disease such as hepatitis or liver cancer. If you eat more consumption of egg and rice you will affect by Jaundice disease.




The term Jaundice also came from the French word “jaune” it means yellow. Jaundice is used to explain a yellowish tinge in the skin and sclera which is caused by hyperbilirubinemia or excess of bilirubin in your blood. Body fluids may be in yellow color but the color of skin and sclera varies based on levels of bilirubin. Slightly elevated levels show yellow skin and sclera while the highly elevated levels show brown color. Absorption of bilirubin in your blood plasma is generally below 1.2 mg/dl.  

When the concentration of bilirubin in your blood plasma exceeds the level of 2.5 mg/dl it leads to jaundice. The symptoms of jaundice are fever, chills, stomach pain, itching or weight loss and urine in dark color. Due to broad range of potential reasons it is not possible to stop all cases of jaundice. To minimize your growth of jaundice you must take precautions. Here I have given some steps to prevent you from jaundice.

Steps to prevent you from Jaundice
1. Make sure that you fix to the Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) for alcohol utilization. The most effective way of dropping your risk of developing jaundice is drinking alcohol. The recommended daily amounts for alcohol consumption are 3-4 units per day for men and 2-3 units per day for women. A unit of alcohol is approximately equivalent to half a pint of normal strength lager, a small glass of wine or a single measure of spirits.

2. You must maintain a healthy weight for your height. Obesity can cause the non alcoholic fatty liver disease. It is also a cause of cirrhosis and jaundice. So maintaining a healthy weight for your height is an efficient way of prevents you from jaundice. A diet that is elevated in fat it can boost up your blood cholesterol level which will also increase your risk of developing gallstones.

3. Both hepatitis A and hepatitis B are comparatively rare situation in England. If you are travelling to parts of the world, Vaccination is generally recommended. The vaccination for hepatitis A is recommended for people who work in laboratories, people who work with primates such as monkeys and chimpanzees and people who are travelling to places where the virus is universal such as the Indian subcontinent, Africa, central and south America, the Far East and eastern Europe. Vaccination for hepatitis B is recommended for people who regularly inject drugs, men who have sex with men, sex workers.

4. You must be alert in mixing drugs particularly in alcohol, with the recommendation medicines. Do not use illegal drugs and avoid contact with industrial chemicals because it is leads to Jaundice disease.

5. To decrease your risk of hepatitis A, obtain the hepatitis A vaccine. To reduce your risk of hepatitis B, get the hepatitis B vaccine. You do not share needles or nasal snorting equipment. The above steps are useful to prevent you from jaundice.
