Ingredients of Thalassery Briyani

Mutton, onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, tomato, yogurt, cloves, cinnamon, curry leaves, lemon juice, water, ghee, oil, basmathi rice, cinnamon, cardamom, cashew nuts, raisins, rose essence, saffron, briyani masala and coriander leaves these are ingredients needed for thalassery briyani.

Preparation steps of Thalassery Briyani

Add ginger, garlic and green chillies make a paste. Clean the mutton pieces well and pour the chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Add ginger and garlic paste with yogurt and keep aside for an hour. Heat the pan with oil or ghee pour onion into it, fries it well until its gets translucent. Soak the tomato in masala and allowed it to become mushy. Pour salt for taste and add water into it allow it to cook for 15-20mins. Drain the briyani rice well with water. Add oil or ghee into the vessel and pour the rice into the vessel. Add spices, cinnamon and cardamom into the rice and allow it to mix well. Add required amount of water into rice and allow it to cook under 10-20mins and also add the lemon juice into it under high stream. To decorate add fry cashew nuts and saffron in a pan with ghee or oil then add the cooked rice under low stream. Now add rose essence and warm milk then mix well. Allow it under stream for a min and remove from stream. This is the method of thalassery briyani preparation steps. Note under preparation: For a better result soak the rice in masala and allow it over a night in a fridge. Streaming under coal also add a taste to the thalassery briyani.
