Ayilya Nair, better known as Ananya is the Indian film actress acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada movies. She is one of the leading and upcoming actresses in today’s Tamil and Malayalam industry. She is doing her work in telugu and kannada movies also. She made her debut in Malayalam with movie positive (2008) and in the following year she acted in Naadodigal (Tamil movie), which had a commercial success and also a box office hit. Her first movie positive didn’t come out well.
Ananya was born in 29 March 1987 to Gopalakrishnan Nair, a noted film producer and, Praseetha in Perumbavoor , Kerala. She has one brother Arjun who is an engineering student. During her childhood, she was an archer and has won State championship. She did her B.A degree in Communicative English at St.Xavier’s college, Aluva. While representing her college in a television reality show “star wars”, she was noted by several directors and this made her to get into film industry. After declining five projects she decided to give a try as an actress and accepted to act in Positive, Malayalam movie.
Film Carrier of Ananya
Her first movie was Pai Brothers, a Malayalam movie (1995) in which she was introduced as a child artist. After a long gap again she started her film carrier by acting in a Malayalam movie Positive (2008) and Naadodigal (2009) with sasikumar , a Tamil movie which had a commercial success.
In 2010, she did shikkar , a Malayalam movie with the super star mohanlal which gave her a big hit. In this movie she did some thrilling scenes in the climax. As impressed by her acting in this movie Mohanlal again called her to act in ‘Vijayashanthi’. Also she did a supporting role in Kandahar (2010) with Mohanlal and bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.She did a special appearance in this movie. In the same year she did some more projects such as Seetharam , Fiddle and Oru small family.
In 2011, she did a Telugu movie called ‘Amayakudu’ and in the same year she did a leading role in
Engaeyum Eppothum, a Tamil movie which received a rave reviews and was a super hit movie.This movie gave her a break in Tamil after Naadodigal.Also she did two Malayalam movies like Doctor love and Sandwich in the same year. In this year 2012 , ananya entered into Kannada movie through ‘Gokula Krishna ‘.Kunjaliyan , Masters , Reporter , Achan Balan Makan Bheeman are the movies released in this year 2012.
