Vaginal squamous cell carcinoma cancer occurs for women who have crossed the age of 60 years or more. It occurs in the lean, plane squamous cell that lies in the vagina. Vaginal adenocarcinoma cancer occurs for women who have crossed the age of 30 or below which is present inside the walls of the vagina.

1.       Balanced nutritional diet is the major factor which helps you to avoid the risk of vaginal cancer. Women should consume foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, garlic, ginger, fish and you should consume more liquid food to avoid urinary infection.
2.       To avoid vaginal cancer you should try to avoid infection caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)virus. This HPV virus spread during sexual intercourse. To avoid the spreading of this virus both men and women should be safe during intercourse.
3.       You should avoid smoking which is the major reason for any kind of cancer. The smoke from cigarettes infects the blood and the use of tobacco also leads to death.
4.       Avoid consumption of alcohol in parties which will increase the chance for the risk of vaginal cancer.
5.       Women should be safe during intercourse. If you are having intercourse with a man who is already affected by cancer then you/ the men should use condoms to avoid vaginal infection and vaginal cancer.
6.       The vaginal cancer occurs not only to married women but also to unmarried women. This cancer affects the unmarried women through infection or by abnormal menses. Women who have crossed the post menopause can also be affected by this cancer. You should take care of your sensitive vagina.
7.       Radiationtherapy and chemotherapy are the major treatments for any type of cancer. To remove the cancer cells, radiation therapy is the best suitable treatment. It should not harm your body. But there is no guarantee for complete removal of cancer cells from your body. It may occur in future.
8.       You should take pelvic test and Pap smear test for the existence of cancer cells. In these tests, a cell is taken from your vagina and tested for abnormalities in the cell growth. If the result is positive you should be given radiation therapy. Women who have undertaken the radiation therapy should take regular check up.
